Richland, Washington

Richland, Washington, is the northern most city amongst the Tri-Cities located in southeastern Washington. Richland expands across nearly 40 square miles of territory and is home to just over 50,000 residents. Richland is home to some world-famous high-tech companies including the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as well as the Bechtel Corporation – the largest construction and civil engineering company in the United States.

Hanford Commute Time

If you work out at the area, Horn Rapids should be one of your first considerations if you don't like traffic. By living in Horn Rapids you can avoid a good majority of the Hanford traffic in the morning, and especially in the evening. Average commute time from Horn Rapids to the Hanford gate is 15-20 minutes. Horn rapids is one of the closest communities to the Hanford Gate, but North Richland and West Richland are close. If you LOVE golf, also check out Meadow Springs and Canyon Lakes, the drive might be longer, but those are two excellent courses to live and play.
